Antron Wright

Antron Wright (June 28, 1975-) (age 37)  is an Bahamian American and a former American football linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Buthune Cookman University from 1997-1998. In his senior year, in just two seasons Wright became Bethune Cookman University’s all time sack leader and schools single season sack record of 16 sacks. Wright was also selected as team captain and played an integral part in the team’s run for the MEAC Championship in the 1998 Heritage Bowl.

A Miami, Florida native, Wright attended Miami Southridge High School, where he helped the Spartans to the Class 5A state championship in 1991 as sophomore. Wright transferred to Miami Palmetto Senior High School for his senior year were he was Considered 1 of the top high school football recruit in the nation and All State first team selection in the state of Florida in 1994, Wright Attended Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga, California where he played as a freshman before transferring to Santa Fe Community College where he received his Associate Degree in 1996. Wright Signed with Michigan State December 1996 but at the last minute wasn’t accepted by admissions so he chose Bethune Cookman University where he majored in Sociology. Wright is currently attending Florida International University since the summer of 2012.

Wright Started his coaching career in 2003 at South Miami Senior High School and Miami Killian from 2004-2005 while he was a Stay in School Counselor, where help over 40 student athletes sign scholarships to college as a advocate for students with learning disabilities. In the fall of 2005, through his hard work and vision, Wright Founded Choice Learning Academy where he help at-risk potential drooped children obtain their goal through a Vocational education approach, ensuring that No Child left behind. On March 25, 2006 Florida and awarded a Proclamation by the Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners. Choice Learning Academy also was awarded a Proclamation by the Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners whereas: with the strong belief that all children and adults have a right to receive a quality education and an advantage to learn, Antron Wright devoted his time and efforts to making Choice Learning Academy a Reality by offering students a chance to learn, grow and accomplish academics, social and vocational goals, Choice Learning Academy created an atmosphere that ensured student involvement in utilizing effective instructional strategies within an innovative curriculum. Choice Learning Academy aka Choice Preparatory Schools received over 4 million dollars and served over 500 students in six years. He is currently Internal Suspension Coordinator at Apollo Middle School.

Wright currently lives in Brickell, Florida. Wright is cousin to Rhadi Ferguson is an Bahamian American mixed martial arts trainer and cousin to street fighter, The Ultimate Fighter 10 cast member and UFC vet, Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson.[13]
